The Mississippi House of Representatives, in a 96-20 vote today, passed legislation that would increase the eligibility for Medicaid, an effort that will ensure access to affordable health care for over 200,000 Mississippians.
Today the Mississippi House Medicaid Committee voted X-X to approve “Healthy Mississippi Works,” a bill that would close the health care coverage gap for over 200,000 Mississippians.

For cancer patients and survivors caught in the coverage gap, we know access to health care means comprehensive coverage for cessation and other resources to help Mississippians with limited incomes successfully quit smoking, but it also means access to screening, medications, and life-saving treatment.
