A Few Important Event Details

When: Monday, Feb. 5th, Check-In & Breakfast start at 8:30 AM

Where: Double Tree Olympia, Capitol Room: 415 Capitol Way N, Olympia, WA 98501 & Washington Capitol Campus

What to Wear: Business Casual is always best with comfortable shoes (but don’t put too much pressure on yourself). We will be handing out ACS CAN Washington sweatshirts when you check-in so we suggest something that could match with that.

Meetings: Our team is scheduling meetings with your lawmakers now and your schedule will be available on Sunday, February 4th

Accessibility: Please let me know if you have any needs or concerns. I will be sure we accommodate you so you can join. Here is where you can learn about accessability at the capitol. And infomation about accessible parking at the Capitol.

Meal: Breakfast & Lunch will be provided


Arriving the Night Before?

Requested Lodging: If you requested lodging when you registered you will receive email confirmation or should have already received it. Please reach out to Audrey for any questions. The hotel is the same as our event hotel: Double Tree Olympia. Let me know if you have questions or concerns. Check-in is 4 PM at the hotel. 

Sunday Dinner: If you are arriving on Sunday night, please join us for dinner at 6:30 PM on Sunday, Feb. 4th at McMenamins Spar Café: 114 4th Ave E., Olympia, WA 98501

Lights of Hope, Washington: Sunday, Feb. 4th, 4:30 PM @ Heritage Park we will host a Lights of Hope display next to Capitol Lake to celebrate and remember those impacted by cancer and commemorate World Cancer Day. Please plan to attend. It is a SHORT walk from the hotel. if you would like to help, set-up begins at 2:30 PM!


Other Travel Info

  • If you have travel expenses complete the Filevolunteer_travel_expense_reimbursement_form.xlsxWe will reimburse you for the mileage you drive to get to and from the capitol. We will also cover parking expenses. Let Audrey know if you have any questions about other expenses. This form is due to me by March 5th, 30 days post event.
  • Please let us know if you will not be able to attend the dinner on Sunday night if you are staying in Olympia the night before
