Statement on the Death of Idaho State Rep. Sue Chew
Statement from American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network Government Relations Director Randy Johnson
BOISE, IDAHO –- A statement from Randy Johnson, Idaho Government Relations Director for the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) on State Representative Sue Chew's passing:
"We are deeply saddened by the passing of Idaho State Rep. Sue Chew from pancreatic cancer. On behalf of the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, we extend our deepest condolences to Rep. Chew’s family, friends and colleagues.
"Rep. Chew’s faith and professional background as a pharmacist and educator made her a champion of all people, especially when it came to equal and fair access to health care to all who call Idaho home.
“Her passion and thoughtful questioning of the status quo will be missed. Rep. Chew is, unfortunately, one of the many Idahoans who die from cancer every day and, while we mourn her loss, we look forward to continuing to advocate in the spirit of her work."
