Statement on the Death of Former Oregon Senate President Peter Courtney

SALEM, ORE. –– The following is a statement from Jamie Dunphy, Oregon Government Relations Director for the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) on former Oregon State Senate President Peter Courtney's passing:

"We are deeply saddened to hear that former Senate President Peter Courtney has lost his battle with cancer. Very few figures have had such an enormous impact on Oregon, and the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network is deeply appreciative for his decades of service. We honor and recognize that service by continuing to bring the fight to reduce the burden of cancer to every community in Oregon."
