The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network will host We CAN Make an Impact on Wednesday, Aug. 21. The community forum will feature leaders in business, research and patient advocacy discussing the unique challenges of accessing cancer clinical trials in Kansas and Missouri.
Clinical trials are crucial to advancing lifesaving research from the lab to cancer clinics. However only one in four cancer patients has access to clinical trials where they are being treated, and 20% of clinical trials fail for lack of enrollees.
Members of the media are invited to attend and learn from experts about this issue.
