ACS CAN’s volunteers, team members and supporters are critical to our success in advocating for public policies that will benefit patients with cancer and their loved ones. Our 2023 Advocacy Accomplishments site showcases the significant impact our advocates achieved through legislative and regulatory successes at every level of government. These achievements were supported by our passionate volunteers, generous donors and many individuals and organizations that partnered with us along the way. Now, more than ever, your support allows us to help end cancer as we know it, for everyone by advocating for policies that sustain investments in cancer research, fund programs that detect cancer at its earliest, most treatable stages, increase access to affordable health care, and reduce health disparities.

Where Does the Money Go?
Quite simply, it goes toward historic legislative accomplishments that will save more lives from cancer. Examples include securing an increase in federal cancer research funding, expanding access to cancer care for hundreds of thousands of people and making restaurants and bars smoke-free.
