Medicaid Covers US Project Overview
This document provides an overview and answers to frequently asked questions about the Medicaid Covers US project.

This helped people keep their health coverage without needing to re-enroll during a tough and uncertain time in our country. But as soon as April 1st, 2023, states can begin reviewing the eligibility of every person enrolled in Medicaid in the state again and drop coverage for those who no longer qualify or do not provide updated information. There are a few things you can do now to prepare for the unwinding of these protections.
These two, simple action steps are critical for all Medicaid enrollees to take to keep your Medicaid coverage, no matter where you live.
For help updating your information and finding your renewal date [if applicable] visit [Medicaid/State Medicaid Program website].
Not everyone currently enrolled in [Medicaid/State Medicaid Program] will continue to qualify for coverage. If you do lose your Medicaid coverage, you may be eligible for a new Special Enrollment Period that allows individuals and families to enroll in Marketplace coverage outside of annual Open Enrollment. You can go to healthcare.gov for more information.
