Oregon City Supports Statewide Ban on Flavored Tobacco Products
OREGON CITY, OR — Oregon City has taken a stand against flavored tobacco products by passing a resolution on Wednesday that calls for an end to their sale.
January 24, 2019. Students from several Bismarck Public Schools and Harvey High School joined advocates as part of the North Dakota Tobacco Free day at the Capitol. The total attendance was 140 people. Attendees met with lawmakers to educate them on raising the tobacco tax, the electronic cigarette epidemic and preserving the smoke-free protections.
Attendees were inspired by friends and family impacted by cancer and tobacco related illnesses to express concerns about tobacco use. Century H.S. Junior Maddy House spoke at a press conference held at the Capitol and share her perspective on the increasing use of electronic cigarettes by students.
