Oregon City Supports Statewide Ban on Flavored Tobacco Products
OREGON CITY, OR — Oregon City has taken a stand against flavored tobacco products by passing a resolution on Wednesday that calls for an end to their sale.
On October 28, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg signed a bill banning the sale of flavored tobacco products. The ban applies to cigars, little cigars and smokeless tobacco and includes all flavors except for menthol, mint, and wintergreen. This is the first bill of its kind and goes further than the recently enacted FDA regulation of tobacco products law.
