Lt Governor Brown recognized at press event
June 13, 2012
On June 7 in Annapolis, the Health Care For All Coalition, which the American Cancer Society is a participating member of, recognized Lt. Governor Brown as Maryland's Public Health Hero.
Over the years, beginning when he was in the House of Delegates, Lt. Governor Brown has been one of the key leaders making our state's health care and public health successes happen. Most recently, he has effective led the O'Malley Administration's effort to put Maryland in the forefront of states working to fully implement the Affordable Care Act and during the 2012 session his leadership paved the way to help pass a state tobacco tax on little cigars and smokeless tobacco products.
