State Senator Joan Huffman and State Representative John Zerwas have filed bills to raise the minimum age for tanning bed use in Texas to 18.

Individuals who use indoor tanning devices at a younger age have a 75 percent increased risk for melanoma and a 69 percent increase of early onset basal cell carcinoma than those who never use indoor tanning.
