Oregon City Supports Statewide Ban on Flavored Tobacco Products

It's a new year! Support our 2020 legislative priorities

As we ring in the new year, ACS CAN would like to take this opportunity to thank our volunteers for their support in making 2019 a successful year. With their continued support and help from all cancer advocates, we are looking forward to making 2020 another great year!
This year's ACS CAN’s state legislative priorities are:
- Raising the sales tax on cigarettes by $2.00 per pack while also increasing the tax on all other tobacco products, including electronic smoking devices,
- Restricting the sale of all flavored tobacco products, including menthol cigarettes and flavored cigars,
- Repealing the “implied preemption” court doctrine to clarify local authority, so that local governments can pass policies to protect their residents.
