How ACS CAN is responding to COVID-19 in New Hampshire
March 17, 2020
Happy Saint Patrick's Day, New Hampshire! I wanted to update you all on a few things concerning COVID-19 here in New Hampshire as it relates to our work here at ACS CAN.
- Firstly, the legislature is out of session this week, and next week they'll reevaluate whether they're going to go back or not. So for now, our local priorities are put on hold. In the meantime, it is still okay to send our active action alerts and petitions to those who have not signed or sent them yet.
- Both the U.S. House and Senate were supposed to be on recess this week, but that changed to only the House taking a break.
- As of today, ACS has canceled all events that are set to take place within the next eight weeks. This does affect some of our campus Relay events.
- Our next monthly advocacy meeting was set to take place in-person on Monday, April 6th, but it will be moved to a conference call only.
- Lastly, our office is not currently open to the public or to employees. If you need anything, please feel free to reach out to me via email or phone.
We are here for you. If there is anything we can do for you, please let us know.
