Funding+ Research = Hope

March 15, 2011

Ambassadors conducted walk-in's and meeting with their US Members of Congress during the 2011 Presidents' Day Recess.   Members of Congress were urged to reject the house budget cuts for cancer research and programs.   The key to better survivor rates is research.  Research offers hope for better treatment; hope for new opportunities to prevent and detect cancer early; hope for improved quality of life for those already diagnosed.   Without continued research, life-saving breakthroughs may be left unseen and undiscovered; life-saving breakthroughs may be left inside the beaker.
