Fight Back Against Cancer this November

November 3, 2010

Cancer effects us all, but no one is truely powerless in the effort to end this disease. Now is your chance to Fight Back and let your voice be heard.

November 18 is the Great American Smokeout -- a day for smokers to quit, and for all of us to fight back against Big Tobacco.

Quitting smoking is not easy, but it can be done. To have the best chance of quitting successfully, you need to know what you're up against, what your options are, and where to go for help.

ACS CAN and the American Cancer Society have led the fight for strong tobacco control policies at the federal, state and local levels for decades. You can join us by signing up to be a grassroots advocate to support policies that keep kids tobacco-free, create smoke-free communities and help smokers quit.

Then help us spread the word throughout your social networks, family and friends so they can take action too.
