A Dazzling Night of Music, Appetizers and Desserts, and a Silent Auction as Cancer Advocates Gather to Celebrate, Fundraise and Empower Survivors
BISMARCK, ND - The third annual Crave a Cure event, set for December 5, 2019, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Heritage Center Northern Lights Atrium, celebrates the difference Bismarck-Mandan residents are making in the fight against cancer.
This festive event, benefiting the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN), promises a relaxing, fun evening filled with live music, a dazzling silent auction, and the featured appetizer and dessert tasting contest for attendees.
Local chefs will offer samples of the best appetizers and desserts in Bismarck-Mandan. The appetizer and dessert tasting will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Local celebrities will judge appetizers and desserts, and event guests will vote on their favorites for the people’s choice award.
Crave a Cure brings together the community to celebrate those who have survived cancer, encourage people undergoing treatment and raise awareness about how to reduce the burden of cancer. The American Cancer Society estimates more than 3,940 North Dakotans will be diagnosed with cancer and 1,280 cancer-related deaths will occur in 2019. Estimates also indicate 1.7 million Americans will hear the words “you have cancer” this year.
Proceeds from the event will help ACS CAN advance legislation at the local, state and federal levels that will reduce cancer rates and better the lives of those who have been diagnosed with cancer.
