Blue Wave Hits Capitol Hill

If Google Earth took a picture of Capitol Hill right now, it would show a blue wave of more than 400 ACS CAN volunteers.
As part of ACS CAN Leadership Summit and Lobby Day, these volunteer leaders from across the nation are meeting with their Senators and Representatives right now with one very clear message -- Action Now, Not Later on health care reform.
They also got to be a part of an energizing press event with five college basketball coaches from some of the nation's most prominent basketball programs.ξ Watch the news and sports stations tonight to see if they show any clips from this great press conference.ξ Coaches Mike Brey of Notre Dame, Ed DeChellis of Penn State, Tubby Smith of University of Minnesota, Oliver Purnell of Clemson and John Thompson III of Georgetown were all there lending their voices to important campaign.
As Coach Brey said at today's event, "now is not the time to sit back and play zone.ξ Now is the time for full court pressure and maybe even a hand-check or two."
