2022 ACS CAN Florida End Of Session Report

The 2022 Florida Legislative Session has finally adjourned. Thanks to your unwavering support and dedication to our mission, a budget including more than $245 Million in mission-related appropriations is awaiting the Governor’s approval, including funding for three of ACS CAN’s top legislative priorities.

When it came to our number one priority, an increase in funding to the Mary Brogan Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program, the state legislature allocated $1.8 Million. While it was not the amount we wanted, we are ready to take up the cause next year knowing that our volunteers and advocates will be ready to continue the fight.
