Moderator:

Dr. Douglas Flora, M.D., LSSBB, Medical Oncology and Hematology, St. Elizabeth Healthcare

Dr. Flora serves as the Executive Medical Director of Oncology Services at St. Elizabeth and was recently named The Robert and Dell Ann Sathe Endowed Chair in Oncology. Dr. Flora was born and raised in Cincinnati, graduating from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1999, and has been named a Cincinnati Magazine Top Doctor in Hematology and Oncology
for the past 15 consecutive years. He is a Board Member
of the Kentucky Society of Clinical Oncology, The American
Cancer Society Regional Board, and The Andy
and Jordan Dalton Foundation. In his spare time,
Dr. Flora enjoys international travel with his wife and three children.

DR. DANIEL FLORA, M.D., PHARM D, Oncology Research and Hematologist/Oncologist at St. Elizabeth Healthcare

                                            

With a background in pharmacology, Dr. Flora has a special interest in "personalized medicine," in which each individual's treatment plan is developed to minimize toxicity. Currently, he is leading the St. Elizabeth Oncologyresearch team as principal investigator for multiple clinical trials. Many of these studies are exploring alternatives to chemotherapy, such as targeted or immune therapies. Dr. Flora has won numerous awards, including the Arnold P. Gold Humanism in Medicine Award Cancer Family Care Unsung Heroes Award, and was voted as one of CincinnatiMagazine's "Top Doctors" for Hematology and Oncology in 2016 and 2017 by his peers. Dr. Flora has three children and enjoys playing guitar, as well as golf and tennis.

Dr. Isagani M. Chico, MD, Vice President and Global Therapeutic Head for Oncology, LabCorp Clinical Development Services

Isagani (Gani) M. Chico, MD, is Vice President and Global Therapeutic Head for Oncology, Labcorp Clinical Development Services, based in Baltimore, Maryland. Gani has >35 years of experience in Oncology clinical drug development from small and medium-sized biotechnology companies, CROs, and the FDA, focused on planning and execution global Oncology clinical development projects from early phase to post-approval, leadership of cross-functional strategic teams within medical affairs and clinical development organizations, and management of pharmaceutical, academic and regulatory interactions. Gani earned his medical degree from the University of the Philippines, completed his Internal Medicine residency at the Cook County Hospital in Chicago, and Medical Oncology fellowship training at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. 

At Labcorp Oncology, Gani leads a dedicated team of >50 oncology physicians with an average of 23 years of academic and industry-related clinical experience in countries across Europe, North America, Latin America, and Asia. The oncology medical team executes program and study-level medical oversight that spans from early phase clinical development through late-phase and post-marketing studies. It also has a group of consultants that provide expertise in specific tumor indications, technologies, and drug classes, including study protocol and clinical development planning and strategy, the establishment of target product profiles, feasibility, and risk assessment.
