Chemawa Indian School
3700 Chemawa Rd NE
Salem, OR 97305

The Lights of Hope event is the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network’s signature fundraiser dedicated to honoring those who have been touched by cancer and remembering those lost. This year we are celebrating the 11th anniversary of Lights of Hope. With each light of hope, a loved one is honored or remembered.  If you plan to vist the display, please rsvp to ensure we have an accurate list of attendees for the purposes of contact tracing for the event someone attends who later tests positive for covid-19.

With help from volunteers across the country we will collect more than 50,000 Lights of Hope that that will be displayed in communities across America. This year, volunteers in the Salem area are orgniazing a display at the Chemawa Indian School folks can visit. Speakers will begin at 7 PM with a focus on bringing equity in cancer care to the Native American community. To ensure your loved ones touched by cancer are honored and memorialized in the lights of hope display, donate by Sept. 17th, 2021 at the link.
