ACS CAN Health Policy Forum on Palliative Care
The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) in partnership with Johns Hopkins University Sydney Kimmel Cancer Center will host our Annual Forum on Health Policy. This premiere event, to be held on October 13, 2016, brings together key leaders and decision makers in business, education, medical research, cancer care, government, and health policy. This event not only helps unite those in Maryland who are fighting to end cancer, but serves to empower ACS CAN, and its’ work to ensure that elected officials across the country make cancer a top priority.
This years’ forum is dedicated to educating patients, providers and the public about palliative care and will include discussion around:
•What is palliative care and how does it work?
•Why is such care important to patients, providers and insurers?
•What policy changes are needed to help expand the use and benefits of palliative care in Maryland?
