2025 ACS CAN Houston Research and Health Equity Breakfast

The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) is the nation's leading advocacy organization working every day to make issues facing cancer patients a national and state priority.

The ACS CAN Houston Research and Health Equity Breakfast convenes leaders from government, research, life sciences, academia and non-profits for networking and a program that explores accelerating research, reducing cancer disparities, and improving health equity in Texas.

As ACS CAN gears up for the 2025 Texas legislative session, important policy issues will include securing $600 million to continue funding the critical work of the Cancer Prevention Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT), eliminating barriers to prostate cancer screening legislation, increasing funding for the State's breast and cervical cancer screening program and tobacco control programs, plus additional funding to provide colorectal cancer treatment to our most vulnerable populations.

Please contact Marissa Beasley at [email protected] with questions or if your organization is interested in sponsoring this event.
