2022 ACS CAN Utah Virtual Cancer Summit: Health Equity Through the Cancer Lens

 

The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACSCAN) will host its annual Utah Cancer Summit on November 3, 2022. This event will bring together key leaders and decision makers in health care, the community, government, research and academia to discuss health equity issues in Utah through a cancer lens.

This annual event explores the intersection of oncology and public policy. The 2022 summit will bring attention to the inequities that exist in cancer prevention and care. Despite notable advances in cancer prevention, screening, and treatment, not all individuals benefit equally from this important progress.

 

ACS CAN recognizes that cancer impacts everyone, but it does not impact everyone equally. We are working to ensure everyone has a fair and just opportunity to prevent, find, treat, and survive cancer. No one should be disadvantaged in their fight against cancer because of how much money they make, the color of their skin, their sexual orientation, their gender identity, their disability status, or where they live.
