Cancer Prevention and Early Detection

ACS CAN will work to increase access to vital cancer screening and early detection programs in Texas, including but not limited to:

  • Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening: ACS CAN will advocate to maintain funding of $2.5 million annually for Texas Breast and Cervical Cancer Services Program, the state’s breast and cervical cancer screening and treatment program for low-income uninsured and underinsured women administered by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
  • Colorectal Cancer Screening: ACS CAN will advocate to maintain funding for Colorectal Cancer Screenings, an effort championed by ACS CAN Texas in 2021.
  • Prostate Cancer Screening: Sign the petition to get engaged in our efforts to increase access to prostate cancer screening in Texas
