Cancer Prevention and Early Detection
ACS CAN will work to increase access to vital cancer screening and early detection programs in Texas, including but not limited to:
- Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening: ACS CAN will advocate to maintain funding of $2.5 million annually for Texas Breast and Cervical Cancer Services Program, the state’s breast and cervical cancer screening and treatment program for low-income uninsured and underinsured women administered by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
- Colorectal Cancer Screening: ACS CAN will advocate to maintain funding for Colorectal Cancer Screenings, an effort championed by ACS CAN Texas in 2021.
- Prostate Cancer Screening: Sign the petition to get engaged in our efforts to increase access to prostate cancer screening in Texas

This is more urgent now than ever given the recent increase in diagnosis of men with advanced prostate cancer. All people should have a fair and just opportunity to prevent, find, treat and survive cancer, so we're working to ensure more patients who need it can benefit from prostate cancer
