Milestones in the Fight Against Cancer

In my last post I shared that ACS CAN is turning 10 this year, and we are celebrating with action. Today marks our annual Lobby Day, and we have nearly 600 cancer survivors, volunteers and staff members in town. TheyŠ—'ve come equipped with thousands of stories from back home about milestones they have reached or hope to reach in their lives thanks to cancer research. All of these stories of events or special moments will be delivered to Capitol Hill during their Hill meetings today as messages of hope of what is achievable with cancer research. IŠ—'ll give you an example. Thanks to cancer research I am hopeful that my 6-month-old granddaughter, Camden, will grow up in a world without cancer. WeŠ—'ve also been collecting personal cancer milestones on our website and at hundreds of events happening in every state across the country this month.
