Take these easy actions and help convince your Senators to increase funding for cancer research.
In just five to ten minutes per week, students CAN make a difference and help save more lives from cancer.
When it comes to cancer, there are some things we know for sure. We know that cancer research saves lives. We know that even though COVID-19 is the biggest health challenge facing the world right now, cancer hasn't stopped. We know that people are still diagnosed with cancer every day, and too many lives are lost to the disease. We can do better.
Researchers work hard to find new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. When it is safe to do so, we need more of these brilliant scientists back in their labs working on new lifesaving treatments and new ways to diagnose the disease as its earliest, most treatable stages. And we have a chance to make that happen when the U.S. Senate votes on this year's appropriations bill.
ACS on Campus CAN make their voices heard. Students CAN advocate and convince their Senators to increase federal funding for cancer research.
First, contact your U.S. Senators:
- Write a letter to each of your U.S. Senators and send the letters to their offices in Washington, D.C. We even have some tips and instructions.
- Call your Senators and leave a message. Text ACT to 40649 or visit this page to get started.
Then, continue the fight:
