Frankfort, KY – April 2, 2018 – The following statement can be attributed to four leading health advocacy organizations: American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, American Heart Association, American Lung Association and the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids.
More than 100 Kentuckians traveled to Frankfort today to urge legislators to reduce smoking-related cancer deaths by increasing Kentucky’s cigarette tax by $1 or more per pack. The visit was part of the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network’s annual Day at the Capitol.
The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) and 26 other leading health organizations are offering support to those Kentuckians looking to quit tobacco as part of the first-ever Kick It, Kentucky! week.
