California Enacts Ban on Tanning for Minors

Governor Jerry Brown has signed a billξmaking tanning bed use illegal for anyone under age 18 in the State of California. The new law will take effect on January 1, 2012.ξ They are the first state in the nation to do so, and the law aligns withξAmerican Cancer Societyξand ACS CAN's new official position on tanning beds that was adopted in March 2010.ξ Congratulations, California!
