About the Blog

September 25, 2011

In my 37 years in Washington, D.C., I have worked in government relations for the aerospace industry, the high-tech industry and senior citizensŠ—' interests. But I have never worked for an organization with as compelling a mission or as highly motivated a movement of grassroots advocates as ACS CAN. Since coming to ACS CAN in June 2010, I have met countless people across the country who have had cancer themselves or in their families, and who will stop at nothing in support of policies that help fight cancer. I lost my dad to liver cancer in 1996, and like you I want to end suffering and death from this disease. ACS CAN staff and volunteers are working every day with elected officials from across the political spectrum and at every level of government to wage the strongest fight possible against cancer. I hope this blog will provide valuable information and insight about our efforts.
