Ensure Access to Quality, Affordable Health Care
- Breast and cervical cancer screening funding: Advocate for stable funding of the Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program which provides free breast and cervical cancer screenings to low-income, uninsured women across the state and is administered by the Illinois Department of Public Health.
- Ensure cancer patients have access to the providers they need: Access to a full range of health care providers is critical for cancer patients. That is why it is so critical that insurers offer robust networks of providers – including specialists – and for health plans to allow enrollees access to out-of-network services when medically appropriate.
