Texans Flock to DC to Fight Cancer

ACS CAN State Lead Ambassador Karen Heusinkveld (featured above), along with dozens of Texas volunteers and more than 600 volunteers across the county, visited Washington D.C. on September 12-15 as part of ACS CAN's Federal Leadership Summit and Lobby Day. Advocates urged lawmakers to protect funding for cancer research and prevention programs and to co-sponsor legislation that supports patients’ quality of life.
