Palliative Care Bill Passes, Moves to the Texas Senate

On May 6 the Texas House voted 145-0 to approve HB 1874, ACS CAN-supported legislation to improve our understanding of the barriers to palliative care in our state.  

Senator Joan Huffman has stepped forward to carry the bill in the Senate, for which we are grateful. The bill is now awaiting a hearing in the Texas Senate Health and Human Services committee. We will do our utmost to keep the bill moving forward during the last month of our state session.
