Enroll now in Cancer Prevention Study 3

July 9, 2013

This year, Albuquerque will have the unique opportunity to participate in a landmark new cancer research study, the American Cancer Society’s Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3), during the week of September 10-14. This study has the potential to shed new light on the causes of cancer, as well as discover new ways to prevent cancer.

The American Cancer Society's Epidemiology Research Program is inviting men and women between the ages of 30 and 65 years who have no personal history of cancer to join this historic research study. To ensure CPS-3 is a success, ACS CAN and the Society are searching for Community Champions to help the Society reach its regional enrollment goals for the Albuquerque area.

As a CPS-3 Community Champion, here are some ways you can help:

  • Reach out to your family, friends, neighbors or coworkers who also want to fight cancer.
  • Set a goal of engaging 10 or more people to enroll as participants in the study during the week of September 10. Enrollment is confidential, so spread the word to as many people as you can.
  • Use promotional materials found below to share information about the study provided by the Society as needed.
  • Encourage others to serve as a Community Champion to get people to also enroll!

Not eligible for CPS 3 or want to do more? Spread the word with these promotional materials and/or contact Lacey Daniell, Grassroots Relationship Manager, at [email protected] or 505-262-6014.
