Your Story

February 6, 2015

My wife Rachel was first diagnosed with breast cancer back in 1992. After many years of courageously fighting, we lost her in 2013. I want to prevent other families from having to experience what we did. That's why I've dedicated myself to the fight against cancer as a volunteer with the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN).

Will you fight back against cancer by sharing your story today?

Don and Rachel Parrish

Do you have a personal story about how cancer has impacted you or someone you love? Real stories are how ACS CAN ensures that Rachel and others like her are not just a statistic. These stories remind our elected officials to do the right thing and support policies that will reduce cancer rates and benefit those battling the disease. So much progress has been made in the fight against cancer since my wife was first diagnosed. That progress is the result of people like you and me speaking out.

Share your story and help make an impact in the fight against cancer.

After you share your story, ACS CAN staff may contact you for more information and your permission to share it with lawmakers or the media. No story is too insignificant to warrant telling.

Please consider sharing your story today.
