During the August Congressional Recess, American Cancer Society Ambassadors in Maryland are urging Congress to "Help fix our health care system before it POPS!!" Packages of popcorn with this message are being delivered to each Member of Congress during meetings and walk-ins.
Ambassador are asking Members of Congress for ACTION NOW, NOT LATER to help move health care reform legislation forward keeping in mind their constituents who are fighting cancer. Meaningful health care reform legislation needs to be affordable, accessible, adequate and administratively simple.
