Newly released analysis forecasts significant economic growth within the first three years of Medicaid expansion
Statement from American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) Kansas Government Relations Director, Megan Word
TOPEKA, Kan. – “As lawmakers close the legislative session, they have once again failed to expand KanCare, a policy that is overwhelmingly popular. For the 150,000 low-income Kansas adults and families in the coverage gap, they will have to wait for another legislative session for lawmakers to give them the chance to access affordable, comprehensive health care coverage. This year, an estimated 16,640 Kansans will be diagnosed with cancer. Studies show having health insurance is the top indicator of cancer survival. Kansas lawmakers must do better.”
