Legislative Ambassadors work closely with ACS CAN staff to make fighting back against cancer a priority for lawmakers at all levels of government. We work together to make sure that activities suit your interests and that you are well prepared with the knowledge you need.

Volunteer activities include:
- Joining monthly virtual meetings to stay updated on the campaign activities, status of legislation, ways to engage the community, and how to support fundraising statewide
- Responding and sharing online action alerts
- Joining advocates in Harrisburg for Cancer Action Day to meet with lawmakers in-person
- Attending community events to showcase advocacy accomplishments, recruit new volunteers, and engage the public in our advocacy efforts
- Sending letters to the editor and opinion pieces to local media as needed
- Social media activity - sharing campaign actions and fundraising with your online community
- Participating in fundraising efforts in your community and statewide
This role is adaptable to a variety of time commitments and skill levels. The only requirement is a shared interest in seeing a world free from cancer.
