Healey Signs Bill to Address Breast Cancer Screening Inequities
Legislation will eliminate costly barriers to follow up breast cancer screening
“Ensuring access to quality health care is essential in our mission to reduce the burden of cancer in Mississippi,” said Kimberly Hughes, Mississippi government relations director for the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network. “ACS CAN calls upon state senators to move a solution forward without delay that extends access to affordable, comprehensive health coverage to more than 200,000 hard-working Mississippians.”
The advocacy organization's latest round of television advertising marks its second set of advertisements this session. The ads are part of a larger effort by ACS CAN to urge state lawmakers to increase access to affordable, quality health coverage through Medicaid.
