Support a State Funded Cancer Research Program

Iowa has the second highest cancer incidence rate in the entire nation. Unlike the rest of the country, Iowa's cancer incidence rate is increasing rather than dropping.

Investing in cancer research will provide the foundation for future advances, enhance the competitiveness of Iowa cancer researchers for large federal grants, and generate intellectual property within Iowa that will support economic development of our state.
In contrast to many other states, support from the state of Iowa for cancer research is minimal.

We are asking the Iowa Legislature to fund cancer research at the state level and make Iowa a leader in the fight against cancer.
