Protect Medicaid Expansion

Idaho voters passed Medicaid expansion in 2018 to ensure their family members, friends, and neighbors could get the healthcare they need. Expansion provides health coverage to individuals and families who otherwise fall into the coverage gap - those earning too much to qualify for traditional Medicaid, but not enough to qualify for subsidies on the Marketplace. Increasing Medicaid eligibility means more Idahoans now have access to comprehensive coverage, including cancer screenings, diagnostic testing, treatment services and follow-up care.
