2023 North Carolina Policy Forum
On November 14th, the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) will host the annual Policy Forum at the SAS Executive Briefing Center in Cary, NC. This year's focus will be biomarker testing and the critical role it plays in helping ensure patients receive the most effective treatment in a timely manner. Research, innovation, and public policy changes around biomarker testing have the potential to completely change the future of cancer care. Our event will bring together clinicians, advocates, and patients to discuss the benefits biomarker testing provides in patient care and how it opens the door to precision medicine. This is a free event but donations and sponsorships will help offset our costs and fund our mission.
ACS CAN is focused on the needs of patients and ensuring that people have access to the care they need to prevent, detect and fight cancer. ACS CAN unites and empowers cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, and their loved ones, giving them the training and tools, they need to be heard. ACS CAN’s public policy priorities are focused on the actions that elected leaders at all levels of government can take to accelerate the ability to save lives and win the fight against cancer.
