2024 ACS CAN Greater Houston Research and Health Equity Breakfast

The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) is the nation's leading advocacy organization working every day to make issues facing cancer patients a national and state priority.

The Future of Cancer Care: Breakthroughs, Advances, and the Importance of Innovation in Research

This forum will examine the current impact of innovation on cancer research, diagnosis, and treatment in Texas. Participants will include key stakeholders throughout the oncology community, including leaders in business, academia, public policy, health care systems, provider groups, advocacy, and others. ACS CAN will use this event to explore the following questions:

--How are changing traditional methods of diagnosis, treatment, and delivery of health care impacting patients?

--How does Texas geography impact access to innovation and how can access issues be addressed moving forward?

--The “real” impact these technologies will have on the quality, delivery, and patient experience of care. The future direction of innovation in the fight against cancer.
