Doug Hogan Joins American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network to Lead Government Relations in Kentucky and West Virginia
Hogan will lead ACS CAN’s efforts in the state to advance legislation and public policies to reduce cancer.
FRANKFORT, KY – December 1, 2022 – Doug Hogan has joined the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) as the government relations director in Kentucky and West Virginia. In this role, Hogan will lead ACS CAN’s efforts in the state to advance legislation and public policies to reduce cancer.
“Cancer has touched all of our lives, and I’m excited to do my part to help advance legislation and policies that will save lives from this horrible disease,” Hogan said. “My father put up a courageous fight before losing his life to lung cancer, so I look forward to working with elected officials, volunteers, community partners and leaders, and organizations across our state to help reduce suffering and death from cancer in Kentucky and West Virginia.”
Hogan has a decade of healthcare government relations, strategic communications and marketing experience, including working at the Kentucky Primary Care Association, the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky, and the Cabinet for Health and Family Services. Additionally, Doug has state government experience in Kentucky’s executive and legislative branches. Finally, Doug also worked in television news for 18 years.
