2020 ACS CAN Alabama Day at the Capitol

Join us for the 2020 ACS CAN Alabama Day at the Capitol on March 10 in Montgomery.  Join cancer advocates from across the state to ask legislators to prioritize issues that affect cancer patients and their families. This event includes issue training, vibrant speakers, and an opportunity to meet directly with your local lawmakers. Everyone is welcome, including those with no advocacy experience.

At this year’s event we will talk with lawmakers about:

- Increasing state funding for tobacco prevention and control, including e-cigarettes.

- Creating a Study Commission to investigate barriers and opportunities relating to patient transport to health care.

- Advocating for adequate funding and expanded coverage for Medicaid programs.
