ALBANY, NY – FEBRUARY 1, 2023 – Earlier today New York State Governor Kathy Hochul released her proposed budget for 2023. In response, the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) Senior New York Government Relations Director Michael Davoli, released the following statement:
In advance of Gov. Phil Scott’s budget address, cancer patients and survivors calling on the governor and elected officials to protect the health of all Vermont residents by increasing funding for the state’s tobacco control program.
Late last week, the Oregon legislature introduced HB 3090 which would end the sale of menthol cigarettes and all other flavored tobacco products, including cigars, hookah, e-cigarettes and smokeless tobacco.
