Una de cada cinco personas con cáncer participa en estudios de investigación médica

WASHINGTON, DC – Investigadores del Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Centro Oncológico Fred Hutchinson), la Red de Acción Contra el Cáncer de la Sociedad Americana Contra el Cáncer e instituciones similares publicaron nuevos hallazgos en el Journal of Clinical Oncology (Revista de oncología clínica) que muestran que cuando se consideran todos los tipos de estudios de investigación sobre el cáncer, al menos una de cada cinco personas tiene cáncer, o el 21.9%, participa en algún tipo de investigación clínica.

A series of TV advertisements paid for by the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) launched today. The latest ad calls attention to the diverse range of people caught in the Medicaid coverage gap, including military veterans, their families, and cancer patients. The ad is hitting the airwaves as the Senate continues its work toward its plan to provide more hard-working Mississippians access to health care through Medicaid.

Cancer Advocates Celebrate Anniversary of the Affordable Care Act

As one of the leading patient advocacy groups that advocated for the passage of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) is celebrating the impact of the historic law ahead of its 14th anniversary on Saturday. ACS CAN is marking the milestone by urging Congress, state lawmakers and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit to protect and strengthen the critical patient protections of the ACA.
